July 2020 DTBA
We will be sailing to and from Seattle. There are so many fabulous places to see and explore if you've never been to this part of the country. Just voted #1 for places to visit by the Lonely Planet Guide! Plan on coming in two days early to take advantage of the pre-cruise excursion!
Pre-cruise Excursion Ideas: which one it is will be by group vote.
We will have THREE FULL DAYS of beading while at sea, PLUS plenty of open session beading when you're done with the shore excursions. We will have a dedicated area to bead in, and there is always someone beading unless it was reserved for another group. Remember, these are very relaxed open session type classes. Start whichever project peaks your interest, switch between them. Come and go as you want. Take advantage of all the other great shipboard activities. You are not "trapped" in class! This is supposed to be fun! Bead as much as you can take and then take a break!
Cruising the scenic Tracy Arm. You won'tbelieve the color of the water!
Take a ride up the scenic Tram in Juneau, or go for a hike up the trail to the top for incredible views of the fjords and ride the Tram back down!
Wander the scenic town of Ketchikan. Situated in the Tongass Narrows,
The library is located right next door to our beading room has great seating and fabulous views to sit and bead, plus really cushy chairs, you just have to get there early to get a prime spot! There is one main project, and two others you will great combinations of projects from designers all over the country to choose from. Projects will be updated after Bead and Button in Milwaukee! Got to see what's new and wonderful first!
Maximum of 24 beaders, I've found this is a great size, lots of personal hands on time and not getting lost in the crowd! Classes are based on a point system. You'll have 3 Points to go towards your projects. A point equals a project that would take approximately a full day and a little to finish. So for example, you can choose something as simple as a pair of earrings for a quarter point (.25), a bracelet for half a point (.5) or a necklace that can range from one full point or more for a more advanced and complex piece. an range from one full point or more for a more advanced and complex piece.
Click here to see current class choices. New designs are being created and added all the time. And if you don't see anything there, come along as an Artisan Companion and enjoy the perks of the group discount for the cabins and bring along your UFOs that you've been wanting to get to work on. I know you have them . . . I do! A mini trunk show will be held during full sea days with kits offered from the class choices and a guest designer.
